Buckingham & Winslow Young Carers Youth Club
We are pleased to announce that our new charity for 2011/12 is Buckingham and Winslow Young Carers Youth Club.
The youth club supports young people from the age of 7 to 18 who are caring for a family member at home.
The club offers these young people support and an opportunity to meet other carers in similair situations, by organising regular club nights, outings and activities.
To welcome them as new friends of Boycott Farm, we recently invited the group for a tractor and trailer ride around the farm and a tea of sausage, mash and beans.
They were a lovely group of young people and Richard was inundated with questions about the farm and the animals.
The fresh air certainly gave them with hearty appetites and they finished all of the sausage and mash followed by a slice of Rosemary's famous chocolate cake. There were no leftovers for Richard's tea!!
The events we hold at Boycott Farm are usually free so we would kindly ask that you give a donation to this extremely worthy charity when you attend. Margo and her team are doing a fantastic job, but as usual, funding is always a restriction so we would love to be able to give them our support.
